The John Phillip Sousa Memorial Trophy was presented to the Essex Corinthian Yacht Club by Joanne Sousa in 1995 in memory of her husband John's love for cruising. The trophy is to be presented annually to the sailing yacht that completes the most impressive voyage during the year.
